Hi techyv,

Event ID 108 in Windows Vista. The installation of software deployed through Group Policy for this user has been delayed until the next logon because the changes must be applied before the user logon. 1274

What does this error mean.

I am not having any issues but just wanted to check on this warning

Thank you all

Hi Ram,

The error usually happens when your user account for a certain workstation does not have any permission to the file system or share which holds the source files for the packages. This usually runs on Group policies.

SOLUTION:

Make sure that the user account for the work station wherein Group Policy is implemented has at least Read access to the source files for the packages. This can be done by assigning permissions to a Security Group or assigning permissions directly to the machine accounts.

If the source files happen to be located on DFS share, make sure that the user account has the correct NTFS and share accesses on all root replicas of the DFS root and on all replica shares of the DFS link.
