EV Override black screen when launched

I have a 27" iMac with 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB DDR3 memory, Nvidia GeForce 675MX  graphics card with 1 GB  GDDR5 memory and OSx Mountain Lion.  I recently installed EV Override Version 1.17.  Why do I only see a black screen when I launch the program?  Need help.  Thanks.

EV Override black screen when launched

Hi Dallas!

EV Nova is set to do a version check on startup by default. It connects to the Ambrosia server to see if there is a newer version available. If you have any software installed that monitors and prevents such connections, you will see a black screen when you launch the program.

To overcome this problem, disconnect your computer from the internet. Disable any software installed as mentioned above and launch Nova. Then click on Set Preferences. Deselect the "Check for updates" option. Enable the installed software, reconnect to the internet and Nova should launch just fine.
