Hello,

It looks like there’s an issue with the XML file inside the FileZilla installation directory so this is making such error.

In order to fix this issue, open the XML file into any text editor, for example, Notepad++ and arrange the file perfectly.

If you’re unable to arrange the XML file, it’ll be better for you to delete the file.

Also, update your FileZilla to the latest version. This should create a fresh installation files with good health and won’t bother you again, will provide more functions and improved features. Download FileZilla.

You don’t load that XML file to FileZilla manually. That file is loaded automatically when you start FileZilla. If the application triggers an error related to the “layout.xml” file, just try to uninstall and reinstall FileZilla. The file is probably corrupt. Reinstalling the application should fix the problem. In Windows XP Service Pack 3, the file is located in “C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\FileZilla\layout.xml”.

Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select FileZilla among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This will remove everything the program created on your computer.

When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then download the free version of CCleaner and install it. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. When it is finished, download the latest FileZilla Client and install it. This should fix the problem. If you want to convert CCleaner to Pro, download the codes and follow the instructions.
