Is it possible to install oracle 10 g on RH-5? I tried to install but it giving "bash.runinstaller:/bin/sh:bad interpreter:permission denied.Please help me with the procedure.Thanks

Did you check or do you have permission to write? Â Because this error usually occurs if one doesn't have write access to a certain directory. Â Check permission on the user can run (execute).
Did you check where is the installation folder located? Â If it is located on a mounted file system,then you could check and ensure that the mount point is mounted with the exec option (try checking the /etc/fstab for detailed information about the mount point).
Alternatively you can move the installation files to a local file system or to a mount point with exec option.Â
