I always work in and around WordPress that’s my nature of work. Now I am going through a tedious problem, I am not able to upload an image file or video file and publish it. Somewhere it’s going wrong, may be file size, corrupted image or the filename. Whizzes please help me to resolve my problem.

An error was encountered when uploading media
I don’t think there is a problem posting an article in your blog because the message says that the post was successfully edited which means you have actually updated the entry in your blog. The problem only comes when the process is about to upload the media like in the screenshot a 3GP video. But it’s clear in the message that you are trying to upload an invalid media type that’s why it failed.
To make sure you are uploading the right format of the file, check the file types you can upload to your site. Normally, not all formats are supported and sometimes limited only to text files, web page files, pictures, and sometimes embedding of videos. If you want to include a video download in your article or post in the site, check if 3GP is supported in your control panel.
If not, you need to convert it to any of the supported video formats of the site so you can successfully attach it in your post. This also goes to pictures. You should attach pictures with supported formats.
