Hello,

This error will occur if you had installed USB/RS232 in your machine and later on you uninstalled it.

To solve this problem do the following steps: First, go to Control Panel, go to check Hardware, then go to Ports listing.

This step is important in order to see all the com ports that are installed in your machine.

If you are not able to find any ports, then you will have to clean your computer.

Follow the steps from this article to perform cleaning and troubleshooting.

I hope this is useful.

You just have to do:

Go windows control panel,

The serial port is normally available for use by the system. If one of your applications requires using it, there should be no problem since it is available. If your application failed to initialize the port, close the application and try again. If this doesn’t fix it, restart your computer and try again. Don’t open any applications aside from the program you are using.

See if it works. If it fails again, check your program’s specifications. Make sure the application is compatible with your operating system. You should also check the documentation of the program if it requires a device to be connected to the USB port to initialize the serial port.
