I created one text file now, and I want to save that text file but when I click at file menu and select save option then I receive this error in Mac operating system please any one tell me why this operating system don’t give me its permission tell me the solution how can I save my text file.

I am very confused about this error.

An error (-116) occurred while trying to create your text settings file. Try saving the file in another folder.

An error occurred while trying to create your text settings file.

The error is just telling you to save to another folder. Maybe when you are about to save the file you are not looking on the current folder where it was saving. I think the current folder that your program opened and supposed to save the file is protected by the operating system or there is a particular program that has an exclusive access to that folder. That is why that error appeared.

But you can still save it to another location. Just save it again and choose a different folder other than the one opened. Every time you do a saving always check first what folder was opened by your program so you could change it if it’s the wrong folder.
