Hello,

I have installed Backup Exec DLOprior in 2012 and migrated to Symantec DLO7.0 but Symantec DLO(Desktop and Laptop Option) 7.0 were not generated. The following error message appeared. Is this any way to resolve this issue? Any help would be appreciated. Bundle of thanks.

check that the report file 'DLOnobackups_en.rdl' is correctly installed. (0x8000FFFF)

Hi there Mario M Fischer,

Looks like your software didn't install correctly and that would be the reason of the error. There are few things you can do to repair the broken software.

The first one is to do a fresh install. You should use Add/remove programs in your Cpanel to remove the existing software, check if there are any files or records left, remove them, reboot your machine and do a clean install of the software.

Another thing to do is to change the registry values so you can rebuild the corrupted files. To do that follow the next procedure:

1. Open the Regedit by clicking the Start – Run and entering Regedit.
2. Once you are in the Registry Editor, select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Classes > CLSID > {30B3A8F7-D9EE-4DA7-B92E-DFE5B497E23C} > InprocServer32  > 1.0.216.0
3. On the right part of the Registry Editor right click, and under the option New select String Values.
4. You will be asked to enter the name, so enter the CodeBase.
5. Double click the newly created item and under value data type the path to the CRF.dll file.
6. Confirm the changes by clicking OK.
7. On the left part of the screen find the InProcServer32 and double click CodeBase.
8. Change value data so the path match the one in the newly created string.
9. Confirm the changes by clicking OK, close all of the windows and restart your computer to make things work.

Best regards,
Drake Vivian
