I had a computer that crashed a while back. I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall all my applications. But the Photoshop 7.0 application is not getting installed. I keep getting the following message after about 60% of my installation and it stops,

Message sayings:

ComponentMoveData had the following error:

Media Name: data

Component: ICC_Profiles

File Group: CMS_ICCProfiles_Shared

File: Photoshop5DefaultCMYK.icc

Error Number: -106 (refer to the online help)

What's wrong? I have searched in Google for any possible cause and it seems that many others also had the same problem. I have tried almost all of the suggestions

Hi Steven,

Are you installing the software from old backup files? If so, then please try a new one. Sometimes backup files can’t perform 100% installation cause of virus and some other reasons. On the other hand you can try little tricks that once I tried and became successful. Just install Photoshop 6.0 and uninstall it. Now again install 7.0.
