Hello experts,

I am able to find data on my PC quickly and also my mails in Outlook. As a result, it is a very useful gadget for me.

It is simple to break in proceedings of the indexing with the newest Windows Search for Vista.

Earlier, I was using a pair of shortcuts for that function to a pair of cmd files with:

NET STOP "Windows Search" and also NET START "Windows Search.

I found an error message that it could not get the adaptive.

Please see the screenshot:

Windows Script Host

Can not find script file "CUsersJTB2AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows
SidebarGadgetsIndexer Status.gadgeten.usvbsadaptive.vbs".

                                                                                        OK
What should I do now? Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

If the file is truly missing from that file folder when you go to look for it through a file tree in your hard drive, it may be because you virus software has deleted it. Many different types of software look at .vbs files as infections and threats. If you have recently run a virus scan, you may have deleted it. (Often .vbs will be accidentally deleted after your virus software detects a Trojan virus or other installed virus on your system.)

Otherwise, if it is still sitting in the file and it won't run, try converting it to a .exe file extension and you shouldn't have the same problem again. (This link is a resource, http://www.vbs2exe.com/ .) REMEMBER! Always pay close attention to files coming in and out of your computer that have this extension. Viruses are often associated with these files so be extra careful.
