How to overcome Error message

"There was an error uploading this file to server" that always appeared while install Virtuemart in Joomla 1.7?

Error Message While Install Virtuemart in Joomla 1.7

Hey Erni Fitri!

The problem you are facing is the common problem and I think most of the users face this error message. Anyways you really do not need to worry about this problem. I also had the same problem but I managed to solve the problem.

The reason behind this error message is the size of your file. The file you are trying to upload is large in size. On the other hand the upload limit is low on your server. That's why the low limit does not allow a large file to upload. 2 MB is the default limit which is set by default.

If you want to increase this limit to upload large files then you need access to the php.ini. There you have to change the upload_max_file_size to "4M". After that reload the server.
