Error message while checking for an update

Hello,

When I try to go to check for an update, I get an error message regarding – "The remote name could not be resolved". I have no idea what is this about! Here is the actual form of the error:

Also, I have failed to fix it through my browser.

Please help me to fix this.

Error message while checking for an update

Hi,

you're getting this error message because the update configuration file you are trying to download is redirecting you to an invalid server. If you wish to get this fixed, download the latest version of Jing at

https://www.techsmith.com/download/jing/

and that should resolve your problem.

Error message while checking for an update

Hi franke,

I was trying to find some good answer for you, but the problem is most of the forums are saying that the jing is not working well. As far I have studied, I found that jing 2.6.12032 is working well, after this version the other versions are doing some trouble. So my suggestion is it would be better if you reinstall jing 2.6.12032.
