Hi,

Whenever I try to mount a NTFS drive, I’m getting this error message. From this message, what I could understand is that the MacFUSE kext kernel have failed to load.

Can you read this message and try to give some solutions to fix this problem? I attached the image error below.

Thank you.

NTFS-3G
NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk0s3 at/Volumes/Untitled because the following problem occurred:
/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext failed to load – (libkern/kext) link error: check the
system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8). The MacFUSE file system is not available (71)

When you mount ntfs you encounter this error because of macfuse and ntfs 3g installed to your computer.  For you to solve the problem you need to uninstall the macfuse and ntfs 3g on your computer. How to uninstall? Please follow the instruction.

Run the Mac OS X System Preferences application, then go to MacFUSE preference, Click Remove MacFUSE(button). After clicking, it will uninstall the MacFUSE (all components). If you cant uninstall macfuse and ntfs 3g, please find some manual, the instruction there. Remember that all you need to do to solve this error is to uninstall macfuse and ntfs 3G.  Good luck.
