I recently downloaded add-on for my Outlook 2010. It’s an alert when I have a new message and it also arrange my mails in a more appropriate view. But after the installation, I started to receive error stating that the add-on could not be installed or loaded. And the problem may be resolved by using detect and repair on the help menu. The error has ISTORX32.DLL error. I really don’t have any idea what is it. So can someone please tell me how to fix this? I don’t know want to touch the registry editor because it may just worsen my problem. Please help.

It is a normal behavior of Outlook that its Add-Ons are always loaded first before the program is completely started.

Now at the startup if outlook could not load or find the Add-On or its component, then you receive the above error. There is always more than good a chance that this error is displayed due to corrupted PST files/ data.

What we recommend is that you first Repair the PST files, using a tool called “PST Repair Tool”. This tool can be downloaded from:

After downloading this tool install it by following these steps:

·         Double click on the downloaded file, and ensure that outlook is not running.

·         Follow the on screen prompts and click finish

·         After the installation performed successfully, double click the  “Stellar Phoenix Outlook PST Repair” icon, and browse to the pst files in your local computer

If you are unable to locate the folders / files then click on the button “find outlook file” and the tool will automatically search and locate the files

·         Click on start button, and your outlook pst folder will be repaired

Hopefully, after performing this repair, you will stop receiving the error.
