Error encountered when running program on PC

Hi Experts,

I have developed a program using VB6.  I  compiled and ran it on a PC and the program worked fine.  I then ran the same program on another PC (a laptop) when this error message popped up (below).  I have registered the dlls already but got the same problem. I have searched the web but got no answers. 

This site might give me the answers, please help.  Thanks in advance.

Error encountered when running program on PC

Your problem was due to when the Microsoft Windows Script were not fully up to date and you attempts to access the pages that uses ActiveX. Since the Windows Script is not updated enough to run the latest ActicveX application, the Runtime Error 429 appears. This can be fix by installing an updated software.

Steps in fixing the Runtime Error 429

1.  Click the Windows Script update page for a download that will correct the Error 429. 
2. Click "download" and "save file". The download will start now to the computer.
3. Double click the downloaded icon in order to open the Microsoft installation wizard.
4. Follow all the installation wizard that will complete the set-up. After you finish this there must be no more "Runtime Error 429" 

This can solve your problem.

Error encountered when running program on PC

It is a directx problem and just try installing it. Solve this by doing the following

Solution 1:

Download the most updated directx program for your operating system. In your case it looks like you are using windows XP so you have to look through the internet a directx program for windows XP.

Solution 2:

Update your operating system it might be the key on solving this problem. Just make sure that you have a genuine operating system installed in your computer and not the counterfeited ones, it will surely make your system miserable as it will annoy you with pop ups and will not allow you to open any Microsoft programs.
