I am having an error with iTunes. When I tried to upgrade it, it shows an error as shown below:

ITunes

ITunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.

Error 7 (Windows error 127)

OK

I uninstalled iTunes and attempt to reinstall it back. However, the same error appears. How can I fix this?

You are receiving the issue due to a bad installation on your Microsoft .NET Framework. Remember that Versions 2, 3.5 and 4 can appear side-by-side. To resolve this, you will need to download and install the correct .NET version applicable to your OS. refer to the links below:

For Windows XP, Vista and 7:

MS .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1

MS .NET Framework 4

If .NET Framework 2 comes pre-installed with Windows Vista, modify the installation.

Run the above installers one at a time based on your operating system. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to install the correct .NET version applicable for your OS. If the version of .NET Framework is installed already, the screen below will appear. Click the Repair option to repair the .NET Framework installation.
