Error 1404: Microsoft Office 2003 Setup

I am using Vista Ultimate in my Laptop. When I am trying Office 2003 it shows some Registry related Error. 

It's showing "Error 1404. Setup cannot delete the registry key SoftwareClasses.tif. Verify that you have sufficient permission to access the registry." Show so many this type of registry Error. 

I am trying so many software like Nero 7, Adobe Reader 8.0, Winamp 5531, etc. Every software is showing error, it's not write or create *.exe or *.dll file in the Program Files directory.

Please see attached a snapshot of the error.

Please anyone could help me how to fix this error?

Error1404. Setup cannot delete the registry key SoftwareClasses.tiff. Verify that you have sufficient permission to access the registry or contact your information Technology determent for assistance

Hello Makoda,

The error that you are getting can occur in the event that you do not have the correct access permissions to the following drive: drive:WinntInstaller folder. In the folder location that has been indicated, the drive is the hard disk that has got Windows is installed on it.

This usually occurs when the antivirus you have on your computer blocks access to the change permissions that have been set for the drive:WinntInstaller folder.

To resolve this issue, you will need to contact your antivirus software manufacturer in order to get the updated version of the antivirus software program or get assistance with the reconfiguration of the antivirus software program.
