Windows 8 does not support .NET 3.5 in its default version. While the user is upgrading through windows 8 then this .NET framework is completely enabled and comes into use. How can a user access the dotnet 3.5 offline installers?
The user can be able to check whether this feature of dotnet 3.5 offline installers is in enable mode or not by checking its programs and also its features. For checking the steps to be followed are:
• Open settings and further open the control panel followed by selecting the programs.
• Click on the turn windows features on or off.
• The user is able to enable this by selecting the .NET framework 3.5 and selecting this followed by ok.
Click Turn Windows features on or off, and the user will see a window as the image below. This makes it download the complete package through the internet and also installs the .NET Framework 3.5 feature.
If you have Microsoft Windows 8 and you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, I’m not sure if you can install it because .NET Framework 3.5 does not support Windows 8. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008 only. Windows 7 and higher are not supported. Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and 4.5 also don’t support Windows 8.
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 1, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 supports Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2.
If you need a .NET Framework that will work on Microsoft Windows 8, you can install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1. It supports Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, and Windows Server 2012.
