One of my staff sends an email with a blocked keyword on the subject line. I want to know now if the message will be blocked on SMS or will it passes since the email message is just a reply to an email sent by one of us?

Hi Pamela Page,

The blocked keyword on the subject line is one of the technique to avoid spammers.  And they do it by limiting the recipient of the message. How? By listing al the recipients after the " bcc" instead of listing the recipients after "to".

  Anyway, what is SPAM?

  • Spam is short for Simultaneously Posted Advertising Message
  • Spam is any message or post or advertise that is send to a many users.

You ask if that message will also be receive through SMS, the answer is yes.

Hope this might help you.

Thanks,

Hello Pamela,

The message will not be blocked in sms since blocked keyword is a technique or strategy to ensure the sent message does not land in the SPAM folder. This technique is used when there are many recipients for the sent email. When there are many recipients for a message, many email servers flag the email message as SPAM and automatically the message is placed in the SPAM folder.

The recipients are placed in the bcc field when sending the email to ensure other recipients do not see the addresses and the message is not flagged as SPAM.

Thank you.
