Hi, can someone please help with a very annoying error that goes like this avgsysx fmw 1 DLL error. I had recently uninstalled and again reinstalled AVG antivirus software trying to fix this issue but did not succeed. I will appreciate if someone would help me out here.
Hi, this error is definitely because of missing or corrupted DLL files. DLL is an abbreviation for Dynamic Link Library and it is a file with extension (.dll) which helps the computer to launch specific software. These files remain active until the closing of the software. Any problem with these DLL files will not successfully open the software. Hence, I am going to mention a few steps below to help you solve this issue:
• AVG antivirus software will not properly function if there is any other similar type of software present in the computer that will not allow either software to operate. Examples are McAfee and Norton to mention few. Hence, the first step is to delete all files related to this software.
• Since you have stated that you uninstalled AVG once, I am guessing that traces of AVG are still present in your PC and to remove them you must download the AVG Remover tool from this link.
• In the AVG remover tool window, select the AVG software that was installed in your computer and begin the removal process.
• When the removal process is successful, you should restart the computer.
• Now, go to C drive and delete all the AVG folders you can see. This step will ensure complete removal.
• Go this link to download the software again.
• After downloading, run the file and execute the instructions that follow.
• After completely installing the software, you must restart the computer again.
I have written the simplest way to fix the error and it has worked. I hope it works for you too.
That’s a “bad image” error. I normally see it before on my computer when I try to install a program that I didn’t know is not compatible with my computer. Since you receive it, check the system requirements again and make sure your computer meets those requirements. The latest version of AVG antivirus at the moment supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.
Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer supported. Since the program is already installed in that screenshot, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo then select your AVG antivirus among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.
When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo then download the latest free version of AVG Antivirus. When installing, make sure you are using an administrator account. Try also running the installer as administrator.
Once the setup file has been downloaded, right-click the installer and select “Run as administrator”.
