DW20.exe didn’t start up as I expected. I’m currently Googling for answers.

An answer here will be greatly appreciated.

It’ll save time and effort in my part so thank you in advance!

DW20.EXE – DLL Initialization Failed

The application failed to initialize because the window station is shutting down.

Culprits for this error are usually Internet Explorer, AVG or any other antivirus programs, most probably "Office 2007-10"

It is basically an "Application Error Reporting Tool", to disable it use DWReportee value of 1 to following registry keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftPCHe althErrorReportingDW

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftPCH ealthErrorReportingDW

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftPCHealthErro rReportingDW

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftPCHealthErr orReportingDW

In case of "Office"

Go to Regedit.exe.

Search and click this registry link "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftOffice10.0Common"

In Edit menu, point to New and click DWORD Value.

Type DWNeverUpload.

Double click "New Value" and type "1".

Apply the settings.
