I have an urgent need recently. I need to about certain converter about DVD writer to SATA port converter. It has been a real need for my official job and now I need someone to find the answer for me as quickly as possible. Should someone know about it please let me know.

Your concern is quite confusing and barely understandable. The only thing that came to my mind is that you are looking for a SATA converter. Since you mentioned DVD writer or DVD ROM and a SATA port, are you trying to connect your DVD writer to SATA port?

Old DVD writer uses an IDE cable to be connected too an IDE port on an old Motherboard. For new DVD writer and Motherboard, it uses SATA port which obviously would need a SATA cable. But DVD writers that uses IDE can also be connected to a SATA port or the other way around.

You can use a Bidirectional IDE to SATA converter that comes with a SATA cable to make it possible. It should look similar to this:
