Downloading issues with iPhone and iOS5 upgrade

Hello Techyv,

I want to buy ringtones for my iPhone online but the download keeps on failing, and it says that I need to upgrade to  iOS5 before I can download.

It would start downloading but then the box  suddenly disappears.

Can you tell me what I should do?

Downloading issues with iPhone and iOS5 upgrade

Hi there!

It seems that the application that you are trying to install requires the iOS5 and when you try downloading the iOS5, it is  not working, 

Here's some tips that you can try.

1. Restart your iPhone.  Start the  download from the Settings menu:

"Settings" app > "General"  > "Software Update"

When it prompts you to update, please continue. Also, you have to make sure that your device has at least 50% remaining battery. To be sure, you can plug it into the power adapter. 

2. If it fails, backup you device, then erase everything , then do the restore. It should automatically update your iPhone to iOS5.
