I need some help to downgrade my operating system from windows 7 professional to windows XP service pack 3. The problem is, every time I run the setup of windows XP, the previous OS can’t be seen that’s why I can’t delete to free some memory of my hard disk. I’m using a Compaq Mini CQ10-500SE. Need your help

Before you downgrade, you have to make sure you have already backup your important data and have all copies of your computer drivers. After all well prepared, download GParted LiveCD, then burn it to CD. This tool will help you to resize, delete or make new partition for your harddisk.

After your Gparted CD ready, now restart your PC and boot with GParted. You can start make your partition for your Windows XP. Then set your partition for XP to NTFS for better performance and security. After your NTFS partition finish, close the program and open GParted LiveCD from your CD player, insert your Windows XP CD Installer. restart your PC again then start to install.
