Does nokia booklet software update cause a lag?

Hi! I have currently updated my OS to Windows & and with it, I have installed the nokia booklet software updater to update some of my applications. The problem is that, every time I switch on my laptop or wake it from sleep or hibernate, the nokia booklet software update keeps on restarting with it making my laptop’s performance slower and lagging. Any suggestions as to how I could minimize the lag? I still want it searching for updates on the background though.

Hi Asten,

I assume you have updated your operating system to windows 7 or 8. There is a way to stop it and unnecessary programs from your start up programs. Type “MSCONFIG” in the Search Bar from Start Menu. Click the Start-Up tab and uncheck or unmark the program you don’t want to run as you turn your laptop on. This procedure helps boost you PC or laptop performance and speed. You may also change the update preference of Nokia Booklet Software to schedule certain updates from uploading.

Hi,

I understand that you have updated your operating system to Windows 7 and you are facing issue with the Nokia Booklet application on your computer. I’ll help you fix this issue.

>>Open your Nokia Booklet application and go to its settings.

>>You can see an option “check for updates”.

>>You can set the update as you want. You can even stop daily updates.

Alternatively, you can type MSCONFIG in RUN window and select STARTUP window. Then you can see the name of your application on the list. Uncheck it so that the application does not slow down your computer after a restart.
