.dll is Not a valid Windows Image

I cannot run any program on my Windows XP computer.

I am receiving a bad image error when trying to access any of my programs. The most common error that I am receiving is stating: “The application or DLL C:WINDOWSsystem32xxxxxx.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.”

This error pop ups randomly and if I hit the OK button, I can be able to run my programs successfully.

I already tried scanning my whole system for possible threat or viruses, spyware and malware, but there are no malicious threats on my PC.

I also run the Windows XP installation disk and tried to repair my system but it did not help.

How can I resolve this issue?

 Please send me some help.

The DLL got damaged or deleted.

My suggestions are:

a. Install Windows. Your problem will be gone after the windows installation is finished.

b. Disable Antivirus. Download/Collect & install the ComboFix software. Start the ComboFix and scan the computer. When the scan is finished, a report in the log file will be saved in the C: drive as ComboFix.txt. ComboFix sometimes fixes the DLL error while scanning.

c. Sometimes the virus or malware attacks the DLL file, and it gets damaged. You need to get the up-to-date Antivirus /Update Definition and install it on your computer. Scan the Whole computer, clean all the malware, virus and Trojans. Please note that you may need to install windows again if there are too many windows files damaged or virus infected.
