Hello,

Display drivers are for making the display adapter work perfectly. The problem you’re facing is either for corrupted driver or installation or installing the wrong driver.

First, make sure to have the correct driver for your device. According to Dell, this one is the latest driver for your system. Download the driver, uninstall the older one and install the latest driver.

Also, update your Google Chrome. In some case, there might be a bug that is generating this issue. Download Chrome.

If still no solution, you should try disabling “hardware acceleration”.

1. Open a new tab and go to “chrome://settings/”.

2. Scroll down and select “Show advanced settings”.

3. Under “System” section, uncheck “Use hardware acceleration when available”.

If you are using the Google Chrome web browser and it constantly prompts you of a display driver error, try updating your video driver. If this error prevents you from using Google Chrome, use Microsoft Internet Explorer then visit Intel Driver Update Utility Graphics. The page will automatically help you detect and install the latest driver for your graphics card.

To check your video card for the latest driver, click on the link “Check your system for updates”. See image.

If the utility requires you to install Java, download and install Java Runtime Environment 8.0 build 25. After installing the Java Runtime Environment, try starting Google Chrome again and see if the display driver error will appear. If the problem didn’t change, try installing the latest version of Google Chrome. Download and install Google Chrome for Windows.
