Hello,

Mainly this is happen due to some third party software.

First you have to remove any third party software you installed recently.

Then go to run, type cmd and it will open command prompt.

Next, you have to register two .dll files.

Type regsvr32dfrgsnap.dll and regsvr32dfrgui.dll and register it.

After that go to windows/inf folder and find file name dfrg.inf.

Right click on that file and click on the install.

Then re-start your computer.

Thank you

John Major.

Hi Michael,

Here is an alternative solution to the problem you are having:

1)      Click on start, then click on Control Panel

2)      In Control Panel, Double-click on "System". If you don’t see the "System" icon, look for a link on the left side that says “switch to classic view”. See image below.

3)      In the System Properties Window, click on the “Advanced” tab.

4)      Click on “Settings” inside the Performance box.

5)      Go to the “Advanced” tab.

6)      Click on “Change”.

7)      Select “System Managed size”

8)      Click on “Set”.

9)      Click “Ok”.

10)   Make sure you restart your computer after this.

11)  Try running defrag again.

I hope this helps.
