Dell Venue 8 Pro 3G Sleep Issues

Hello! I just bought my Dell Venue 8 pro 3G tablet and everything works fine except the sleep mode. I cannot change my tablet to sleep mode because there is only the shutdown and restart option in the drop-down menu. I did some tests using powercfg command line tool and I just discovered that my mobile driver(hardware) prevents the tablet to going to sleep mode. Why is this happening and what is the solution to this problem?

I am convinced that this is a bug like what other users have reported about the Dell Venue 8 Pro. Most of them have reported issues regarding the sleep mode. Normally, when you go to the Power in the charm bar, you should also have the Sleep option together with the other 2 options, the Shutdown and Restart.

Aside from that, you should also be able to put your tablet to sleep mode when you press the power button located on the right side of the tablet. Most of the users say it is a bug in the driver. To possibly fix the sleep mode issue, try updating the drivers on your tablet.

Using a computer, open your web browser and visit Dell Venue 8 Pro [3845, Late 2014] and download all the drivers. Once complete, transfer the drivers to your tablet and install them to update the existing drivers on the device. If this is not your device, visit Dell Support Tablets and select your device from the list.

Well it depends that whether your sleep options vanished after you update your device if this sleep option vanished after updating your device then it will be brought back, but if it has to be like that then there are some other methods, first you should update your drivers even then if it should not be solved then I think it as a bug in that device.
