If there is logical failure, you can follow these instructions to recover data:

1. Remove the hard drive from the computer.

2. Check the hard drive in other secondary computer using USB universal drive adapter.

3. Check what data is recoverable using diagnostic tool.

4. If the result is positive, then use any data recovery software to recover data.

A. paid software: Prosoft’s Data Rescue PC, Ontrack Easy Recovery and Recover My Files.

B. unpaid software: Recuva, Wise Data Recovery, and MiniTool Power Data Recovery.

5. Choose the dead drive as the source and the target as the folder where you want to recover data. 6. Wait for it to complete.

NOTE: Don’t install data recovery software on the dead hard drive.
