Dear John,

If you are getting “0x800CCC0D" crazy message it means that your computer has affected by virus. Scan your all hard drive by powerful anti virus software. If you do not have anti virus in your computer. I prefer you install kaspersky anti virus in your computer. This anti virus can solve your problem.

After installing this software you can start scanning. After scanning you will find that your computer has been affected by virus. Heal those virus and your will find your computer is free from virus.

When your computer have no virus you will not get any more unwanted message.

If you frequently received an unusual message on your Microsoft Outlook Express, before assuming that it is a virus or a virus might have infected your system and causing this message, check your computer first for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. If after the disk check you did not find any problem in the file system, you may now check your system for possible virus infection. Update your antivirus and then run a full system scan on your computer.

Be sure to include the System Volume Information directory in your scan. This is located in the root of the drive and can be found in all of your drives. This is a hidden system folder and you should enable viewing of hidden files and folders to be able to see it. To make this folder visible, follow these steps in your Windows Explorer.

  1. Open Windows Explorer then click Tools and then Folder Options.
  2. Select View tab.
  3. Under Hidden files and folders category, select Show hidden files and folders.
  4. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).
  5. Click OK.

Microsoft Outlook Express can’t be uninstalled because it is pre-installed with Windows. If you still receive odd messages after doing the steps above, might as well format your hard drive and install Windows again.
