Hello Expert friends,

I am beginner in Microsoft SharePoint so working very hard to learn new concepts and techniques. While I am working in a project when I try to troubleshoot, I ended up with an error message. It says that it could not load the type. I am not aware what to do next to clear this error message. Please help. Thanks.

Hello,

To fix your issue, you have to deploy PowerPivot Web Application to the SharePoint applications first. As you didn’t do so, you’re having such trouble.

To deploy PowerPivot Web Application,

  1. Start “Central Administration”.
  2. Select “System Settings” from the left pane.
  3. Click “Manage farm solutions”.
  4. Now, choose “powerpivotwebapp.wsp” and deploy it to SharePoint apps.

Your problem should go away.
