Outlook Express Availability in Windows 7

Outlook Express is not available in Windows Vista and Windows 7. I searched all through the Internet to know the reason for this. I have understood though the rules of Microsoft why Outlook Express is not included in Windows7 but I'm still looking forward into hearing other people's point of view regarding this thing; if they are satisfied for using other email services like Yahoo and AOL. I like my emails being stored in my hard drive. Someone told me that I can still download and install Outlook Express but before deciding on this matter, I thought I should ask first other people about what they did about this. However, I sometimes do get confused. One time, I have read a suggestion in downloading the Windows Live Mail but I just got disturbed. I wondered if I download such software, will I be able to save my emails in my hard drive.

You are right. There is no outlook express version that has been designed to run on windows vista or windows 7, and therefore there is no downloadable application online that can run on either version. The remedy to that will be to install an email program that is offered by other companies apart from Microsoft, or you can resort to using the windows live mail application which will offer the same functionalities as the outlook express. You can get windows live mail for free for it is part of the free windows live essentials.

With windows live mail, you can be able to work with most of the email accounts. Some other notable tasks that you will be able to use it for are importing emails, contacts and also calendars that you have created in outlook express if you need to transfer them to windows live mail.
