I just switched to outlook from Gmail. But, when I a try to login using my office account, I am getting the following error: Connection to microsoft exchange is unavailable, can someone please help to resolve.

The most common reason why this might happen is if your office account is also connected to a third party application, in which you use the same account. If this is true, sign out from that application and try signing in to outlook again. It should work. If you cannot recollect this, or it if does not work even now, don’t worry, just follow the below steps.

First, visit the exchange admin centre and sign in with your office account. Second, click on the recipients option and select mailboxes. Locate the email address which is not working and click it. You will find the add symbol near the name of the email address like this : . Click it and select “SMPT”.

Next, you need to enter here a new alias which should end with “ .onmicrosoft.com “ Click enter.

Now, log in to the account using this new alias.
