Computers are not getting IPs from the router

If a Netgear router does not provide any IP address to any of the computers, is it necessary to put a switch in between the router and the PCs? The PCs are connected via LAN and they do get an IP if directly connected to the modem. Is there something I can do on the router ot make it work?

Computers are not getting IPs from the router

While configuring the connection for the end PCs, make sure you have changed the connection state from 'STATIC' to 'DHCP'.

DHCP is used for the automatic allocation of addresses, so that is the reason you will have to make such a change.

Try this and see. It should solve the problem that you have been facing.
