Compaq Desktop Freezes and Failed to Function Properly

My Compaq desktop freezes quite often and failed to function properly. Here is the error that I have been getting on this machine: A FATAL EXCEPTION 0E HAS OCCURRED AT 0028: C0005338 IN VXD VMM (01) +0004338. THE CURRENT APPLICATION WILL BE TERMINATED. I don’t understand this because I have only the operating system running. Thanks in advance.

Your Compaq desktop freezes quite often and failed to function properly. Here are some solutions for your computers. I hope these will help you to solve your problem.

You may have problems in your operating system. You did not tell that which operating system you are using.

You need to reinstall operating system in your computer.

Enter DVD of operating system and boot it to your hard disk

After reinstall the operating system, you need to install utility software.

I hope now your computer will run well as you want.
