Comodo stops working after updating security programs

Hi,

I need to know what to do with my Comodo antivirus error. I have been using Windows 7 in my computer. Every time it asks me to install its updates, I just do. Now I have installed its updates on security, Windows Malicious Software Removal, and Windows Defender.

After having installed all those mentioned updates, I could not use my Comodo Internet Security at all. I could not make it start. I used to install these kinds of updates every time there are available updates but I just had this error for the first time. Please give me helpful comments.

Comodo stops working after updating security programs

What version of Comodo you are using? The minimum configuration for Comodo antivirus is:

1. Windows Vista (32-bit / 64-bit).
2. Windows XP (32-bit/ 64-bit).
3. Internet Explorer Version 5.1 or above.
4. Minimum 64 MB RAM.
5. For 32 Bit – 35 MB hard disk space & for 64-bit 55 MB Hard Disk space.

 

As you see, there is no full support for Windows 7. My suggestions are:

a. Uninstall the Comodo and install the latest version of Comodo antivirus.

b. Often the antivirus works well after a clean install of Windows. So, install windows and then install Comodo Antivirus.

c. Turn off the Automatic Update of Comodo. Instead, Download and install the manual update.

d. Change your windows to XP or Vista.

e. If you want to run Comodo in Windows 7, you need to put the compatibility to Windows XP or Vista. Right Click main Comodo EXE file and click on the properties tab. Then set the compatibility option to Windows XP service pack 2.
