To do the Cloning by using the Software of Windows 7, you should have the following things.

1) An External Hard Drive

2) SSD

3) Blank CD-R.

You can perform the Cloning process by following the steps.

a. First of all, you have to remove all the data from the Hard Disk except the Files of the Operation System.

b. Delete the empty partitions.

c. Compress the OS partition so that it fits the SSD.

d. Plug in the External Hard Drive.

e. Create an Image of the OS Drive.

f. When you create the image, you will be asked to make a system disc. Insert the blank CD-R and label it.

g. Now, remove the OS Hard Disk Drive.

h. Boot the Computer by the CD-R that you created.

i. Now, you will install the new SSD.

j. Restore the OS Image from the External Hard Disk and resize the OS partition so that it fits the capacity of the SSD.

k. Let Windows recognize the SSD.
