Do we require any additional client access license regardless of the device* or devices on which the NFS server is installed ?

Client Access License on Devices that has NFS Server Installed

No, you don’t need any additional client access license regardless of the device on which the NFS server is installed. NFS server always supports unlimited client access.

NFS Server version 4.3 on Windows 7/2008/2003/2000/XP/Vista Platforms now supports

1. TCP protocol for network connection
2. Cross domain file sharing
3. Alias naming for exported directory
4. File name character mapping between Unix and Windows Systems

Hi,

To set up an NFS Server, you need to follow the following steps:

1. Edit the /etc/exports configuration file to get NFS to function. The file entry should look like this:
