Changing from Project 2003 to 2007

Hi,

There is a company which is changing from Project 2003 to 2007 and the process is in vain. Just a simple macro is taking about 20 times longer in the 2007 version.

This happens to every process while just upgrading to 2007.Have anyone got this before?

I need a kind help to solve this matter.

Changing from Project 2003 to 2007

 

Hi,

The way to speed the process up is to drop the formatting and use a custom field with
an indicator instead.

The increase in speed will be almost instantaneous and will be visible
and correct at all times instead of only being accurate at the time the
macro was run.

You can also choose different shapes for the indicators so that even when printed in black and white, the various conditions can be identified. I think creating a filter and applying the formatting on all the available tasks in the respective filtered selection at once will speed things up to a great extent.
