How to change my display name in Microsoft Xbox One. I want that my Xbox One must be smart enough and it must refer and welcome me by my name. Like hello ABC. So please give me a step by step guide on how to change the display name in Xbox one. Give pictures if necessary. Please help with the issue.

Changing my Display Name in Xbox One?

I guess you want to change the display name that Xbox One uses to greet the player or the user and not the Gamertag. To change the display name used by Xbox One, open your web browser then go to Microsoft Live Account and then sign in to your Microsoft account. After that, select Overview on the left side of the screen.

Click Edit Display Name then change the name used in the First Name field only. After that, you should enter something on the Last Name field. I guess this is needed though the last name will not appear in the Xbox One dashboard. Next, log out of your Xbox One and then sign in back.

Check if Xbox One now greets you with the new name you specified. In case the name has not changed, wait for a few minutes and it will eventually update the display name in the dashboard.
