Yes, it is possible to add a background image to MS Word 2003. To do so, you will need to have the picture intended to be the background saved in your computer. Here are the steps to be followed.

  1. Click the Format menu of the document opened.
  2. Select Background–> Fill Effects
  3. Select the Picture tab from the pop-up window that appears
  4. Click on the Select Picture button.
  5. Browse for the picture that you require that is saved to your computer.
  6. Click Insert after the selection is made.

You will now the see the selected picture as the background. It is always a good idea to select the font color per the contrast of the background picture so that it will be pleasing.

Hi Jagodish,

As far as I know. You cannot change the background of a Word. Because that’s legal in their laws of use.

The originality and uniqueness of their application symbolizes on their background. So there’s nothing going to change most of all there background.

In the other side, yes! You can change the background but don’t use it in your own purposes because that’s against in there law.

It is very easy if you really want to change it. But if you want to know how to do it. Well, sorry I don’t want to tell you because that’s against the law.

Thanks
