Hi whiz,

While I am in the process of setting up an email account in iPhone, I ended up with an error message. This error message says that the secure connection failed, the certificate for “Nexcess” may not be valid. So canceled the process and tried again but I got the same error message. How do I get rid of this error message? Please help me setup an email account. Thanks in advance.

Here’s how your problem can be fixed.

  1. From the “Home” screen, go to Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  2. Click on the account you added.
  3. Check the server host name and correct email address, password is correct.
  4. Scroll down and click “Advanced”.
  5. Move the slide bar to turn on “Use SSL” option.
  6. Also, check that the “Server Port” is correct.
    For IMAP along SSL: 993
    For POP3 along SSL: 995
  7. From “SMTP”, tap the primary outgoing server name.
  8. Tap “Server Port” and change its value to 587.

Now your problem should have fixed.
