I cannot use my mouse at the beginning of windows.

When the computer windows start I can only use the cursor.

But when I want to click some icon this click does not work.

I want to mention another thing that if I restart my computer then the mouse click is enabled.

What can I do now?

With this status you have in your computer, it is hard to predict whether the problem is with your mouse or with the operating system.

Before going to the software, try replacing your mouse if you have a spare one.

Use a different mouse to check the connectivity of the port.

If the second mouse works, your previous mouse needs replacing.

But if using a second mouse doesn’t change the condition, try uninstalling its driver from the Device Manager.

  1. Unplug first your mouse from your computer. Right-click My Computer and then choose Properties.
  2. Click the Hardware tab.
  3. Click the Device Manager button.
  4. Click the + sign beside Mice and other pointing devices and then double-click your mouse’s driver under it.
  5. Click the Driver tab.
  6. Click the Uninstall button and then hit OK. Close My Computer’s System Properties window and then plug again your mouse to the computer. Windows will automatically detect your mouse and install its driver.

If the mouse is still not functioning after finishing the procedure above, restart your computer. Use the keyboard to navigate. If after rebooting the mouse’s condition hasn’t changed, the last option would be formatting your hard drive and installing again Windows.
