I cannot find an option to auto hide the tool bar on my Google Chrome. I'd like to be able to use this browser without seeing a lot of icons at the top of my screen. Is this possible?

Hi Ashley,

You can do this by typing about:flags on the address bar of the Google Chrome browser. After doing this, scroll down on the list and click enable for ‘Compact Navigation’ option and restart the Google Chrome browser. On the browser window, right-click on the tab and click ‘Hide the toolbar ‘ option.

The Google Chrome compact view will now be activated. You can click the tab button in order to view the floating address tab. You could locate the Wrench Icon for Option on the right-side of window. That’s it you could now hide the toolbar or make it visible as per your preference.

Best regards,

This option is available in Windows Vista version. You may do by following these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Type about:flags.
  3. A page will be opened. Make sure that the Compact Navigation option is "Enabled".
  4. Close the Page and open new Chrome window.
  5. Right click on "Tab".
  6. At the bottom "select" the "hide the tool bar" option.

Hi,

In order for you to enable the Auto-Hide of features of your Google Chrome Web Browser toolbars, you may follow the steps below:

1. Open Google Chrome Web Browser.

2. On the address bar, kindly type about:flags, and a flag window will pop up on your screen.

3. Scroll down the page and look for Compact Navigation.

4. Click Enable, and let the browser restart to gain access to the feature you enabled.

5. After restarting, click a new tab then right click on that particular tab, then select Hide the Toolbar form the Context menu.

6. If you want to access again the Address Bar, just click on the tab. Keep in mind that the Address bar will auto-hide rather quickly if it's in idle mode.

Hope this will help.
