Can’t read messeges on Viber please help

I'm having a problem with accessing or sending messages on Viber. I am normally based in Ireland where it was working fine. I am currently in Italy and none of my messages will send. I have received one message that I have been able to read since I got here. Regarding all my other messages, I get the notification but when I go to read the messages, they are not showing so I can't actually read them. I am connected through wifi. WhatsApp is working fine as is iMessage…so I'm assuming this is an issue relating to Viber or with the handset ?

I guess the problem is not with your handset but with the Viber application itself. It seems the app is no longer functioning correctly because you were still able to receive notifications for every message you received but the actual message doesn’t show up. This means your account received the message but it’s just that it’s not showing up on the app.

To fix the problem with the app, you should install the latest version. Visit Viber for your Devices. Depending on your handset’s operating system, download the correct version for your phone. Viber should work on any country not only in Ireland. As long as you have an internet connection, you should be able to use Viber on any mobile phone.

An alternative if you still can’t use it on your phone is to install it on your computer since it is also available for desktop.
