Can I install 32-bit jar app in a 64-bit OS installed machine?

Hello, I need a help.

I have installed 64-bit windows vista OS.

Is it possible to 32-bit windows vista jar app installation into that 64-bit OS?

Because I have to work with set of java applications and I could found those apps in 32-bit format only.

Hello Deborah,

 

 

Well the basic different of 32bit and 64 bit is 32bit is lower and needs fewer requirements for applications to run. Normally you can run any 32 bit software on a 64 bit version. But you cannot run 64 bit applications on a 32 bit platform. When it comes to java this theory applies the same except for couple of applications like SoapUI had some issues. Other than that you will be able to run 32 bit java applications fine on your 64 bit windows Vista OS.
