Can I check email in Mapi server solaris environment?

Can I send and receive email in Mapi server Solaris environment or is there a way to configure this?

Will Remedy Email engine work on this?

Will MAPI protocol be able to communicate with Exchange if I use this engine?

You don’t need to worry about Remedy Email Engine about MAPI server.

Many small company owners or personal users.

Here are some configurations you may need.

• Assorted tools, etc, also running on Windows
• BMC Remedy AR Server on Windows
• Microsoft SQL Server on Windows

Can I check email in Mapi server solaris environment?

Remedy will work in Solaris environment, however it is no longer listed as a recommended solution on the bmc.com. Recommended solutions are either Windows or Red Hat Linux.

Solaris provides a program for sending and receiving electronic mail, called "mailx" which is not window based and hence can be run on any terminal.
