Hi,
I have Sony Google TV that I'm trying to play 1080p videos. The problem with the videos I'm trying to play is that the videos skip every 2 to 3 frames, I think. I'm using a wireless network. Can Google TV actually stream 1080p videos? Do I have settings which I might have missed to prevent it from playing smoothly?

Google TV can smoothly stream 1080 videos some files encoded with some settings don't play well with Google TV. Playing around with your encoding settings and when you find one that works, re-encode all your files exactly the same.

Hello Johan Weiz,
Yes, Google TV can stream 1080P Videos. But some Sony users are facing this same problem while using Wi-FI internet connection. It’s true that some video on Google TV were not encoded correctly but that number is not that huge. At first, you should check your device’s encoding settings.
If it’s ok, then it’s the fault of your Internet connection or hardware. If other people are using the internet using your wireless router and your ISP do not provide you enough bandwidth/speed, then you will face this problem. If so, you had better take a separate broadband internet. If your internet and device's settings all are ok, then you will have to replace your device.
