Button grays out while clicking ‘install’ on applications in Ubuntu Software Center

Hello,

When I try to click "install" on applications in the Ubuntu Software Center, I see that the button grays out, although it does not advance to ask the password.

When I try to move the cursor of mouse, the button returns to being clickable.

Then, I've tried to fix the problem and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling process Ubuntu Software Centre via Synaptic, but same result.

I doubt, may be it is a source related problem. Except that, I have no clue.

Also, the wireless adapter on my laptop has stopped working.

It showed "out of the box" for a long time, but now it shows that it doesn't exist.

I am running a wired connection and it works very well.

Now, I am totally confused as to what creates this error. So, please help me to solve this problem.

Please give a solution.

Thanks a lot.

Hello Jasika,

That is a problem with the setup that you are using to install the applications. Have you tried restarting the system and then after restarted the reinstallation. If the button greyed out continually you might need to download the application that is causing the issue again.

Regards,

Nicke
